Social engagement: for a better society

We are a young company active in the development, manufacture and sales of high-quality instruments used for inspecting food quality. But we strive for more than safeguarding consumers from the dangers of spoiled food. We also want to make a contribution towards the development of a safer and better society.

FreshDetect 2017 children’s relief campaign: Christmas cards in support of the “Kindernothilfe” charity organization

This year we are participating in a charitable donation campaign organized by the Santa publishing house that benefits “Kindernothilfe”, a German charity organization founded to help needy children. For each Christmas card that we purchase and send to customers and other interested parties, a specific amount will be donated to this non-profit organization.

Kindernothilfe, one of Europe’s largest Christian child’s relief organizations, aims to help young girls and boys in the poorest regions of the world attain a dignified standard of living. Education programs help these children to not only learn to read and write, but to understand and apply their rights. Relief projects in more than 31 countries support around 2 million children, thus helping them break out of the spiral of poverty and simply be children.

When you receive our Christmas cards, please think about these needy children and make a personal donation to the Kindernothilfe. Further information is available at

Here’s wishing you a safe and peaceful holiday season and a successful start to the New Year!

A small gesture - big impact: FreshDetect presents charitable advent calendars

Christmas is just around the corner. An advent calendar increases the anticipation – and many people support a good cause. This year, we are giving our employees and selected customers the smallest advent calendar in the world and are helping young carpenters in Zimbabwe.

The money for the advent calendars goes to the Ekuthuleni Carpentry Project. Ekuthuleni means “peaceful place” in the national language of Zimbabwe. Since 1991, the project has been training socially disadvantaged young people to become carpenters. A team of local specialists supports the work in the training centre and in the workshop – according to the motto “Help for self-help”. With the knowledge they have acquired, the young carpenters can create a sustainable livelihood for themselves and their families.

Even if you should not receive our advent calendar, you are of course welcome to donate an amount to the sponsoring association Ekuthuleni Projekte e. V. You can find more information here:

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
